Academic Success

Academic Summary
View a summary of your key academic records. Learn how and where to update your record if it is out of date or incorrect. Send yourself an e-mail summary.

Academic Verification
Request a verification of enrollment letter to be mailed to yourself or a third party, such as a health care provider, employer, credit card company, or a retailer for sales discount.

Act 48
The Act 48 Reporting application is available to Pennsylvania educators who want to report their Penn State courses to the Pennsylvania Department of Education in compliance with Act 48 requirements.

Address Information
View the addresses you have on file with the University and make any necessary corrections.

Adviser Information
Find out the name, office address, telephone number, e-mail address, and other relevant information about your assigned academic adviser. Send yourself an e-mail summary.

Advising Preparation
Prepare to meet with an academic adviser by answering a series of questions about the issue(s) you would like to discuss. E-mail your responses to yourself and to your academic adviser.

Alternative Majors
View a list of Penn State baccalaureate majors (at all locations) that are similar to a major that interests you.

Bills Tuition/Other
View your current tuition bill online.  To complete your registration, you can select "Complete Registration".  Payments can be made with a credit card (Mastercard, Discover, or American Express each with a 2% fee), an eCheck, or a paper check (print a payment voucher).

Bursar Account
Access the detailed financial transactions in your student account. If a balance is owed, you can choose the "Pay Now" option. Payments can be made with a credit card (MasterCard, Discover or American Express each with a 2% fee), an eCheck, or a paper check (print a payment voucher).

College Cost Estimate
The College Cost Estimate application gives you a breakdown of estimated cost related to a Penn State undergraduate education. You can select any Penn State campus location, grade level, and numerous other criteria that apply to you and obtain your own personalized undergraduate college cost estimate.

Course Drop Dates
View the regular drop and late drop processing dates for your courses. Your number of late drop credits remaining is also provided. This application is available for current and future semesters.

Course Preferences
Identify majors that are available to you based on the courses you decide not to take. From the list of majors you identify, select each major for more information.

Degree Audit
Request an up-to-date undergraduate degree audit. Degree audits may be requested for your current undergraduate major(s), current undergraduate minor(s), any valid undergraduate major/option offered, or any valid undergraduate minor offered. A requested degree audit report will be processed and returned back to your browser for viewing.

Drop/Add
Register for courses, adjust your schedule, view your schedule, and send a copy of your schedule to your Penn State e-mail address.

Entrance to Major
Update and/or confirm your top three major and location preferences if you are not yet in a major.

Exploring Majors
Learn how to explore majors. Link to University resources that can assist you in the exploration process.

Final Exam Schedule
View your final exam schedule for the current semester. Request an overload conflict exam, if necessary. Send yourself an e-mail of your final exam schedule.

FTCAP Scores
Review your placement results from the English, mathematics, and chemistry tests administered through the First-Year Testing, Counseling and Advising Program (FTCAP). Send yourself an e-mail summary.

GPA Prediction
Calculate semester and cumulative grade-point averages based on the grades you predict you will earn in your current courses. View the calculations and read the implications. Send an e-mail summary to your Penn State e-mail address.

Grades
View semester grades from any semester that you have attended Penn State. Send an e-mail summary to your Penn State e-mail address.

Graduating this Semester
Inform your college or The Graduate School of your intent to graduate at the end of the current semester.

Hope/Lifetime Tax Credit
Identify the educational expenses paid by you, or on your behalf, to Penn State during the tax year.

Late Course Drop
Participate in a personalized, interactive advising session that will assist you in determining the alternatives to and implications of late dropping a course from your current schedule. The advice you receive will be based on your academic records and responses to key questions. You will be permitted to late drop a course through eLion after participating in the advising session.

Loan Decrease
Decrease your current loan(s) (Federal Stafford Loan, Federal Perkins Loan, University Loans) as displayed on the Student Aid Summary. Calculate net amounts of your loan(s) before submitting your final decrease(s).

Loan Entrance Counseling
Fulfill requirements set by federal regulations and University policy regarding student educational loans. You must complete this loan counseling session before Penn State can disburse your loan funds.

Loan Exit Interview
Fulfill requirements set by federal government regulations and University policy by completing student loan exit counseling (for Federal Perkins and University Loans) prior to graduating or when you drop below half-time attendance.

Mail Semester Grades
Request that your semester grade report be mailed to your home address.

Major Preferences
Update and/or confirm your top three major and location preferences if you are not yet in a major.

Major Themes
Create a list of Penn State baccalaureate majors that may interest you by identifying your areas of interest, selecting themes (groups of majors) related to your interests, and choosing campus locations. Send yourself an e-mail summary with links to information about each major on your list.

Printing Charges
View your current printing charges. Send an e-mail summary to your Penn State e-mail address.

Refund Information
View or change your refund preference. If any refund is available to you, the refund will be delivered to the destination of your choice.

Registration
Register for courses, adjust your schedule, view your schedule, and send a copy of your schedule to your Penn State e-mail address.

Science/Math Majors
Identify Penn State majors that match your interests and abilities in science- and math-related courses.

Student Aid Summary
View your student aid award and the most current information on the student financial aid programs (loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships) available to you throughout the year.

Student Schedule
View your semester schedule for any current or future semester that you have been enrolled at Penn State. Send yourself an e-mail of your semester schedule.

Summer PHEAA State Grant
Request a summer PHEAA State Grant. The application is available between April 1 and August 1 to eligible students. Students must complete their summer schedule first before requesting a State Grant.

Summer Stafford Loan
Request consideration for a Summer Stafford Loan. The application is available between April 1 and August 5 to eligible students. Students must complete their summer schedule first before requesting a Stafford Loan.

Summer Work-Study
Request consideration for summer Federal Work-Study funds. The application is available between February 15 and April 1.

Target GPA Prediction
Calculate the grades you will need in order to reach a specific target cumulative grade-point average. View the calculations and read the implications. Send yourself an e-mail summary.

Transcripts
View, print, and e-mail a copy of your advising transcript or request that your official transcript be mailed to a specified address.

Transferring Credits
Enables you to enter course work that you have taken, or plan to take at another institution, and view Penn State's review of that course work.

Withdrawal
Participate in a personalized, interactive advising session that will assist you in determining alternatives to and implications of withdrawing from the University for the current semester. The advice you receive will be based on your academic records and responses to key questions. You will be permitted to withdraw through eLion after participating in the advising session.

Work-Study Job Search
Look for currently available work-study positions at all campus locations.

Work-Study Extension
Request that your Federal Work-Study award be held in place and not cancelled until you have secured a Work-Study position.
