Science/Math Majors | Help

The Science/Math Majors application will help you identify Penn State majors that match your interests and abilities in science- and math-related courses. By specifying the number of courses you would like to take in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics, you can (1) design your ''ideal major'' and (2) compare your ideal major to existing majors at Penn State.

For this application, a science- or math-related major is defined as any baccalaureate major that requires at least one of the following courses in the first year:

BIOL 110 (Biology): Basic Concepts and Biodiversity (4 credits with lab)
CHEM 012 (Chemistry): Chemical Principles (3 credits)
MATH 140 (Mathematics): Calculus with Analytic Geometry (4 credits)
PHYS 211 (Physics): General Physics: Mechanics (requires calculus) (4 credits with lab)

If you would like to review the background information on any of the topics listed below, select the appropriate link. Otherwise, select the ''Continue'' button to design your ideal major.
